When I paint I feel a connection to my surroundings sparked by the multitude of colors within colors present in every object. This fascination with color started as a child and was nurtured by my uncle whose own paintings are often reminiscent of Rembrandt's brilliant color on dark backgrounds. My current compositions are influenced by artists as diverse as Chagall, Rothko, Soutine, and Rauschenberg. I am a member of Nanaimo Arts Council and Start with Art Nanaimo.
